Further Price Decline Noted in DDR4 Memory
These are estimated averages from variety of sources. Our guidance to customers is to consider upgrading using 32GB modules at current prices as prices for these modules are at attractive levels. A 256GB upgrade using 32GB modules would cost 20% less than using 16GB modules and would optimize socket usage. Upgrading using 64GB modules would allow upgrading with 64GB in the future in unused sockets but would cost 20% more as well.
Notes: 1. DDR4 64GB & 32GB 2133 Mhz parts are scarce in the market and prices are holding. 2. DDR4 32GB 2666Mhz and 2400Mhz shows the most significant drop in prices by almost 20% from previous month. 3. DDR4 16GB 2133Mhz shows the most significant drop month-over-month of 38%. 4. DDR4 8GB have shown the highest demand and prices are now stable.
