RDIMM, also known as Registered Dual In-Line Memory Module, adds a register, which buffers the address and command signals between Dynamic Random-Access Memory modules (DRAM) on the DIMM and memory controller. RDIMM used to give better steadiness and scalability, ordinarily performs better compared to unregistered memory.

LRDIMM represents load-decreased double inline memory module, utilized in servers that upholds higher densities than RDIMMs and contains a memory support (MB) chip. LRDIMMs are valuable in memory-concentrated applications in data centers, cloud & distributed computing and in high-performance computing (HPC).

In this April 2021 price report we are including a new section for Load Reduced Memory Prices. The prices for these module differ significantly from the regular RDIMM for certain speeds and capacities. If your upgrade project requires these qualities of modules, this may give you a better estimate of costs for the upgrade. If you need help

In general the market from March 2021 to April 2021 has been one of rising prices and difficulty in finding large
quantity of supply. Especially for the higher capacities. As business are working their way towards finding a ‘new normal’ the need for IT equipment demand has risen. 

Prices of RDIMM 128GB, 64GB and 32GB for 3200MHZ and 2933MHZ has risen significantly. LRDIMM in these speeds are at a premium as well. We continue to see longer leads times and backlogs from distributors, brokers and wholesalers.
