Dear Customers,

Happy New Year!

The overall pricing of memory components continues to decline. However, the higher capacity modules in every speed are harder to procure especially the 256GB and 128GB modules. Amongst the module types the ‘Load Reduced Modules’ are the more sought-after and harder to get.

The overall demand for memory improved in January 2023 compared to the demand in the last quarter of 2022.

With the advent of ChatGpt, there will be revenue shifts happening in every industry. This in turn will fuel higher demand for Memory, Storage, and CPU components.  Companies will be able to upskill their employees more easily. This in turn will place more demand on their IT infrastructure which will have to be upgraded.

There continues to be a shortage and delay in the supply of products coming in from Asia and this may impact prices at any time. The current prices of components are very attractive and buyers who are in need of upgrades or new builds we recommend should take advantage of the current price benefit.

Notes:
*RDIMM, also known as Registered Dual In-Line Memory Module, adds a register, which buffers the address and command signals between Dynamic Random-Access Memory modules (DRAM) on the DIMM and memory controller. RDIMM is used to give better steadiness and scalability and ordinarily performs better compared to unregistered memory.

**LRDIMM represents a load-decreased double inline memory module, utilized in servers that upholds higher densities than RDIMMs and contain a memory support (MB) chip. LRDIMMs are valuable in memory-concentrated applications in data centers, cloud & distributed computing, and high-performance computing (HPC).
