As digital communication evolves, with “chat” replacing “search” as the new way to interact with digital information, the widespread adoption of AI by enterprises is inevitable. To thrive in this new era, organizations will require extensive AI-ready infrastructure that enables them to embrace its possibilities.

The competition to develop the fastest and most powerful H100 Cluster is currently underway. Inflection (https://inflection.ai/) currently has 3584 H100 GPUs deployed in their cluster and aims to expand it to 22,000 H100 GPUs. Meta’s cluster boasts 16,000 H100 GPUs, while Microsoft Azure continues to add more GPUs to their Azure cloud service. The largest cluster is maintained by Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, and notable entities such as OpenAI, Google AI, Cruise, and Sense Time are also actively involved in this race.

Nvidia H100 is the current gold standard for AI training and powering large language models and AWS and Nvidia have a close collaboration to build the Next-Generation Infrastructure for training large machine learning models.

These significant investments in compute-intensive and memory-intensive infrastructures will lead to the emergence of a world populated with “personal digital assistants”, decision-making accuracy and speed, and a host of lifestyle changes.

As purchasers of hardware and software, we must prepare ourselves for the imminent arrival of this “world of extreme intelligence” headed our way. This will impact our lives personally and professionally and in a big way.

At Memory4Less, we have been assisting our customers since 1986, starting from the early days of the first 256K DRAM product, followed by the introduction of 1-megabit DRAM in 1987. Notes:
*RDIMM, also known as Registered Dual In-Line Memory Module, adds a register, which buffers the address and command signals between Dynamic Random-Access Memory modules (DRAM) on the DIMM and memory controller. RDIMM is used to give better steadiness and scalability and ordinarily performs better compared to unregistered memory.

**LRDIMM represents a load-decreased double inline memory module, utilized in servers that uphold higher densities than RDIMMs and contain a memory support (MB) chip. LRDIMMs are valuable in memory-concentrated applications in data centers, cloud & distributed computing, and high-performance computing (HPC).
