This Samsung MZ-V7E500BW 970 EVO 500GB NVMe Solid State Drive is built with 4th generation VNAND technology in an M.2 form factor with PCIe Gen3 x4 connectivity. The 970 EVO SSD supports up to 3400 and 2300 MB/s read and write speeds respectively, offers an excellent blend of throughput and performance. The M.2 drives use the cutting-edge PCI Express NVMe interface, which offers roughly six times more potential throughput than does the SATA interface SSDs.
The latest V-NAND, new Phoenix controller, and Intelligent TurboWrite technology enhance high-end gaming and 4K & 3D graphic editing. The 970 EVO SSD is designed with the new five-core Phoenix controller that dedicates one core to communication with the host PC via the NVMe 1.3 interface. While Samsung’s 64-layer V-NAND flash increases raw performance while also reducing power consumption.
The 970 EVO SSD comes with the Samsung Magician, an advanced software solution for users to monitor, manage and maintain the drive. Magician provides personalized firmware checking and additional functions tailored for individual user’s drives. It even updates the firmware automatically to make sure that the drive’s performance stays up to date.
