This WD WDS100T1B0B Blue 1TB SATA 6Gbps M.2 2280 Internal Solid State Drive offers high capacity, enhanced reliability, and blazing speed. The WD Blue SATA SSD is designed with no moving parts to help protect against data loss if it is accidentally bumped or dropped. With up to 25% lower active power than previous generations of WD Blue SSDs, you’ll be able to work longer before recharging your laptop, while sequential read speeds of up to 545 mbps and sequential write speeds of up to 525 mbps.
The SSD offers up a great value in a PCI Express-based M.2 solid-state drive. The drive is a leader in its price class, as both a solid workhorse that can handle daily content-creation tasks in programs like Adobe’s key creative applications, while also holding its own in gaming tests and raw sequential throughput. The 1TB SSD has a power draw of between 6.0 and 9.7 mW, compared to 70mW for average active power. So it can get down there into low, low power mode.
